Our abortion services are provided on an outpatient basis and include expert medical attention, confidential counseling and follow-up care in a nonjudgmental setting. As members of the National Abortion Federation (NAF), we strive to set the highest standard of care in Michigan while obtaining support from our nationwide community of NAF providers. Heritage Clinic For Women has been offering gynecological care and abortion services since 1973. Thomas J. Gordon, MD has been the Medical Director since 1984. He possesses a strong sense of dedication, professionalism and integrity in combination with his medical knowledge and superior skills. Our mission is to provide a safe, compassionate, nonjudgmental environment while focusing on the physical and emotional needs of each individual we serve. Embracing the pro choice philosophy has always meant embracing the history and wisdom of each individual, the burden of choice resulting from contraceptive failure or human error, the depth of responsibility involved with parenting, adoption and abortion, and the losses and gains involved with each option. It is our belief that women have the capacity to shoulder the burden of reproductive choice and that our role is to provide the sensitivity and respect to help share that burden. Heritage Clinic For Women is licensed by the State of Michigan as a Freestanding, Surgical Outpatient Facility.
